I’m a hopeless romantic and I want to tell your story– the laughter, the teary eyes, the hand holding and embraces, the energy.
I’m so fortunate that I live my passion–I’m a wedding, engagement, and lifestyle photographer based in Rochester, New York shooting both film and digital. My shooting style is classic and organic. I use my natural surroundings to capture the unique energy of each relationship and special event.
It’s important for me to get to know my clients on a personal level so I can be genuine and create timeless images that travel generations.
I get excited when you get excited.
I cry when you cry. I laugh when you laugh.
I tell your story best when I feel what you feel.

For film, I shoot with a Contax 645 and Pentax 645n and use Kodak Portra film. I shoot film because I love the way film captures light and color... something you cannot re-create with a digital image. It has forced me to slow down while shooting and focus on capturing the feeling of the moment.
For digital, I shoot with Nikon equipment, and all digital slr bodies have an assortment of professional lenses. I prefer natural light over artificial light, but I have equipment to handle low-light situations when needed.
I photographed my very first wedding as a freshman in college. Upon graduation, I started photographing weddings full time. Ten years later and I am still in love with my job!
Every year is different, but I usually photograph between 20-25 weddings a year.
After shooting a number of weddings , I do have a strong opinion about the best wedding day timeline. We start having timeline conversations even before your contract is signed.
No. A photographer’s style is comprised of two parts… shooting & editing. The editing is the final part where I tweak your images to create the best product for you before delivery. Also, a lot of the beauty is in the culling of the images. You do not need every single image from your day, but instead the best images that tell your story concisely and cohesively. I promise I will not withhold images of important moments. If you think I missed something when you receive your final images, let me know and I will check back through all the files!
This is an extremely personal decision and one that I cannot make for you. However, I will educate you the best I can with your options for each decision!
Seeing one another before the ceremony allows you to share the intimate moment -- just the two of you. We also have the opportunity to photograph all of your formal portraits before the ceremony so that you & your guests don’t have to wait around afterwards. We’ll be able to use all natural light and make a relaxed timeline for your day.
Industry standard for wedding image delivery is around 6-8 weeks depending on the time of year and the photographer. I limit the number of weddings I contract a year so I do not get bogged down with editing. I want to fully enjoy the editing process just as much as the shooting process. I get so giddy with the thought of sharing your images with you! I typically share sneaks around 2.5 weeks (after I get my film scans back from the lab) and your full wedding gallery around 4-5 weeks.
I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. Because of this, I do not include a specific image count in my wedding collections. I believe in giving you images of the important moments... I will not give you ten versions of the same image just to increase your image count.
Every image you receive from me will be edited. Whether that is simple cropping and sharpening, or more advanced color correcting and tonal curves, or cloning out those ugly telephone poles. I believe in a slower, more intentional shooting process, including posing, so you look your best.
I require a 1/3 non-refundable retainer and a signed contract to reserve your wedding date.
